Key Terms:
Thaumatrope: an optical toy that is known as an animationg device it consist of 2 strings and 1 disc with different draings on each side.
Zoetrope: also known as wheel of life, consists on a rotating drum with equal space lits on each sides, with different drwings on each pice of paper, and they are placed inside the drum
Phenakistoscope: consisted of a disk having a series of drawings with used lits between themit simulates sustained movement.
Praxinoscope: is similar to the zoetrope, but isted os slits it has a set of springs,
Animations:
Drawn animation
Is the oldest animation type, and it lauched an entierly new art medium.
This is the tyoe of animation we all grew up watching
Modeled animation
is the animated workes of modeling clayto, to change backgrounds, characters, and actions. Susesive shots are taken and assembled to simulate movement
This in my opinion is the hardest type of animation.
Computer Generated Animation
The character or action ir drawn or modeled using an extensive software and then the computer enables the animator to manipulate with theinto varioiuss positions.
Rotoscoping is easily accoplished in less time than when you do it mannualy
Storyboarding:
This is a very important animation tool, that helps the artist know what event happens in each specific order in with how much deatail in the story,
Key Moments of Story Boards
Changes in the angle of shot, such as moving from a wide to a close up shot.
Changes of activity or temperament of the character such as running or screaming
Storyboards:
Represent distinct sequences whithin the projects being developed
They consits of smll sketches and descriptive texts, at paints where the acction changes , and helps animators to knowwhen they must change to different views or behaviors,
The story boards are used to work out the an imations with theme or concept
The sotryboards represent all of the key moments int he animation
