Newton's 3 Laws
2nd Law
The acceleration of an object depends
on the mass of the object and the
amount of force applied
EX: You have to push a heavy ball harder
to get it to move as fast as a small one.
Push a large box & a small box with the
same force, the small box will go faster
3rd Law
For every action there is an
equal and opposite reaction
EX: If air is let out of a balloon quickly,
air pushes down & balloon goes up.
A fireman turns on his hose & is
knocked backwards.
1st Law
An object in rest remains in rest
and an object in motion remains in
motion unless and unbalanced
object acts
EX: A soccer ball won't move until the player kicks it.
A seat belt stops you from flying through the
windsheild it you hit the brakes to hard.
