PRESENT PROGRESSIVE TENSE
DEFINITION: verb tense that is used to refer to an action or a state that is continuing to happen. is a verb tense used to describe an action currently occurring.
NEGATIVE SENTENCES

RULES
FIRST RULES:
Most verbs add -ing : Speak – speaking
Cook – cooking
SECOND RULES:
Verbs that ended with -e, drop the -e and add -ing: make: making
THIRD RULES

EIGHTH RULES:
Do not double the letter if the word has two or more syllables and the last part is not stressed. ex: Visit (first part is stressed) – visiting
Benefit (first part is stressed) – benefiting
AFFIRMATIVE SENTENCES
We use a form of to be (am, are or is), the infinitive and the ending -ing.
Subject+to be (am, are, is) + infinitive + -ing+Complement
