Hobbes believed Democracy was right because it allowed citizens to vote

Hobbes believed in the rule of the king because he felt a country needed an authority figure to provide direction and leadership

He says people should not be trusted to make decisions on their own

In his book he argued, People were naturally evil and could not be trusted to govern
