The Irish people were especially important to the development of the canal systems around the great lakes area in Canada. They also helped by doing the roads,early railroads and they also helped them by doing the lumber industry.
More than 400 Jewish people moved to Montreal Quebec Because in Europe/there home town there was anti-semitism against the Jewish people and there was hatred so it was unsafe for them to live there. So some of them moved to Canada and some moved to Montreal .
The Jewish people started there Owen business like they made there own cloths at home the dad would go hunting and get the materials and the woman would make the cloths and they would wash them before they sold them and then they would sell them to people to get money but they did not get that much money

Different Irish people lived in different areas like the British, France, Newfound land but they mostly went to Pennsylvania.They lived there because where they were usually came from they had no water to grow crops and feed there families and where they settled there was water so they can grow there crops and they can feed there families.

Witch mean no POTATO'S.SO the farmers had no food to feed there families and they had no crops to sell so they could not pay rent so they had to move.
The Chinese people/immigrants live in British Columbia. The Chinese people built the railway that went from British Columbia to Quebec.It took the Chinese to build the railway from British Columbia to Quebec 5 years/ 1880 to 1885
The Chinese people helped with building roads,they cleared road,they help with clearing land,They help with mining coal and they building the railway.When the Chinese were building the railways they live in drafty tent beside the railways that they were working at!
When did the Chinese come to Canada. A little group of Chinese people came to Canada in the late 1788.The Chinese people came to Canada because in China there was little farmland because of the growing population which meant little food. Floods and droughts often meant poor crop harvests.The war made China unsafe to live in,the taxes are also high.In Canada there were some jobs that the Chinese could work in Canada,but the Chinese people got paid less then the other workers working. Also because in British Columbia they discovered gold there.
