Estas desigualdades influyen en el nivel de acceso que tienen las personas a los bienes y servicios, y se refleja, sobre todo, en las diferencias de ingresos que dividen a las personas entre ricos y pobres.

Las diferencias de ingresos son particularmente marcadas entre profesionales altamente especializados y personas con ocupaciones comunes, que requieren menos capacitación.
