Useful Tips

He responds well to doing activities with Harley or Trinity but avoids Muneeb. He needs to be watched with Harley as he has issues with touching him inappropriately.

He likes to help, especially lifting, carrying, or moving objects (he likes to feel useful, likes to hold doors)

DO NOT HOLD HIS HAND! (He will attempt to hold hands, please redirect to a squishy toy)

He's not allowed to practice wrestling at school (will try to show people new moves)

Making food

Wrestling (but not allowed at school!)

Being read to

Lifting heavy things/helping

Basketball

Dancing

Listening to music (Nickelback, 80s, 90s)

Writing

Taste of most vegetables, certain textures

Loud noises (when startled covers ears)

Processing time is delayed, doesn't always answer questions

The instructions are given verbally without any visual support or modelling

If the activity or routine includes fine motor skills or motor planning (cutting, printing)

Social communication awkward (doesn't come naturally)

Completion of tasks he does not want to do

Communication (social, eye contact, sometimes doesn't respond and walks away)
