My awesome mindmap

The concept of integers encompasses both positive and negative whole numbers, as well as zero, but excludes fractional numbers. Positive integers are often referred to as counting or natural numbers, while the combination of positive integers and zero is known as whole numbers.

Awesome work Adwaith!

An integer (pronounced IN-tuh-jer) is a whole number (not a fractional number) that can be positive, negative, or zero. Examples of integers are: -5, 1, 5, 8, 97, and 3,043. Examples of numbers that are not integers are: -1.43, 1 3/4, 3.14, .09, and 5,643.1.

An example for substraction of integers are : +8 - -5 = +13. The difference is 13 degrees.

Another misconception by people is that adding and substracting of normal and negative integers are the same,However it is not.

An Interger has different ranges

The positive integers are known as counting numbers or natural numbers. The positive integers and 0 are called whole numbers. Zero is an integer but it is neither positive nor negative. *Some historians believe the first evidence of the use of negative numbers was around 300 b.c.e. in China.

An example for addition of integers are:7 – (-5) = 7 + 5 = 12

Subtopic

One of the most common mistake done by people in addtion of integers are substracting positive and negative numbers.
