Demonstrative Pronouns:THIS,THAT,THESE,and THOSE.

Demonstrative pronouns are used to replace specific people or things that have been previously mentioned or are understood from context.They tell us whether they are replacing something singular or plural and wether that thing [s]is close by or farther away.

These are our bowls.

Those are children.

Relative Pronouns:WHO,WHICH,WHOM,WHOSE,THAT.

They introduce relative clauses.They also have distinctions in gender and case:ssubjective case,objective case and genitive case.

Sttudents who study a lot get good grades.

Reciprocal Pronouns:ONE ANOTHER and EACH OTHER

We use reciprocal pronouns when each of two or more subjects is acting in the same way towards the other.

Josh and Mario helped each other,[direct object],Mario and Jonas hate each other[direct object]

Reflexive Pronouns:MYSELF,YOURSELF,HIMSELF,HERSELF,ITSELF,OURSELVES,YOURSELVES,THEMSELVES.

They are used when the subject and the object are the same person.The action of the verb is pointed back to the subject.

I myself did the assignment or i did the assignment myself.

Possessive Pronouns:MINE,YOURS,HIS,HERS,OURS,YOURS,THEIRS.

The possessive pronouns are the genitives [the ones that show possession ]of the personal pronouns.They can occupy different positions in each sentence,so they may have different functions such as subject,direct object or subject complement.

Luis has a white tablet.Mine is black.[mine is in the subject position.It is certainly referring to the word tablet.

Object Pronouns:ME,YOU,HER,HIS,IT,US,YOU,THEM

Object Pronouns are affected by the actions of the Subject.They replace indirect and Direct Objects.

Marcela was ticking me off while i was down loading some apps for her.Me=object of the particle for and her object of the other particle for refering to Marcela.

The Subject Pronoun:I,YOU,HE,SHE,IT,WE,YOU,THEY

The subject in the sentence is the doer of the action,the person or thing that does the action in the sentence,so subject pronouns are used to replace the subject.
