Yaaaaa I am floating
This one's out there! :)
Does anyone know how to easily switch between the sandbox and their groups' discussion? I've been attempting, but just ended up logging out, then logging back in. Is there an easier way???
Answered my own question. If anybody cares, you hit the circular button in the upper left. I has five rectangles connected and outlined in red. It then allows you to change to recently viewed maps....cool.
Thanks Jeff! I was going to try to figure that out tonight!
Melanie
Yes, you got it!
Wondering if you were all able to use your MSU accounts to set this up? I had to use a different account because I never recieved the activation email to my MSU account. Hopefully that's OK.
I was so pumped that MSU won!
I'm floating out here, disconnected!
Hello
Hello everyone
Mindomo blows my mind!
LOOK!
I can adjust the font...
It is pretty cool how you can change the font and size!
Testing, testing.
I wonder if this would be too complicated for my freshmen?
Warning: don't watch this if you are afraid of fish... their eyes are not looking at you by the way.
Trying on different functions. My father is a Japanese chef (not sushi chef, he is Kaiseki, traditional Japanese course meal chef), and he showed me all parts of fish anatomy....
Hi Laura,
If that is the case, please email me your email address used for registering for Mindomo.
Fei
I had the same problem too! Used my gmail account. I will email it to you Fei.
I had a same problem at first, but it worked on my second trial.
I also had the same problem. I used my hotmail account. I will pass that information along to you too Fei!
Laura,
I had the same problem, I had to use a Yahoo! account. I will email you the information I used, Fei.
hello! I had the same trouble. I used my gmail account.
Seeing if this works! Going to take some getting used to but seems neat!
Hey, this is fun! I think I'm going to like it!
This is basicaly just us screwing around and learning how to use this, right?
Hello everyone! I used bubblus this summer for a course and created a mind map. This looks a lot easier and seems to be user friendly and more organized than bubblus. Let's see what we can do!
It is much easier than XMind too!
Hi Monique!
I hope all is well with you!
chuck c.
I am playing with this new toy, and like Monique mentioned, this seems like a good tool to create mind-map, too. In fact I just created one for my own project.
When does one use the floating topic? Is it for an idea that doesn't connect anywhere else? This is a new tool for me and just trying to figure it out!
Thanks!
Melanie
Hi Melanie, good question!
Yes, a floating post can be used for disconnected posts.
And more importantly, if you see the connections among several posts that are far away from each other, you can connect them by using a floating post and a few relationship lines.
We will talk more about this next week. :)
Well, I guess we'll give this thing a try...How about that Michigan vs. Michigan State game on Saturday?!? Go Green! Do I hear a, "Go White!"?
The game was awesome! I had to give my ticket up because I had so much coursework for this class and another online class that I am taking. The sacrifices we have to make sometimes... Oh well, I enjoyed watching it while grading papers! My son is in the MSU Marching Band so I have season tickets!
Great game!! Go Green!
Fei,
I definitely see what you're talking about. It brings logic and organization to the abstract thought process.
Most definitely! Go Green! Go White! Loved the game!!!! :)
This is a new tool for me!
New for me too! I really like it so far!
I've never even heard of Mindomo either, but it looks interesting enough!
Hi, welcome to our new online discussion forum. :)
Fei
Thanks for the welcome. I am slowly getting the hang of this and look forward to using it for our group discussions.
This is a left-brained thinker's DREAM! Cheers to all you logical, sequential and objective thinkers and good luck to all of us right-brainers who are looking at this as a big picture and can't help but create animals out of all the green connecting lines! This is very cool and will obviously take some practice.
Thanks for the welcome! I think I could grow to like this.
Thanks Feo! I'm eager to learn how to use this in a discussion forum.
Thanks for the welcome! This is very cool!
Melanie
I appreciate the welcome! I look forward to learning how to use this.
Hi Jeff,
You already learned how to use it! :)
We will probably have a lecture on different discussion patterns next week. And by trying this new enviornment, you mgiht see how this environment helps you see discussion patterns differently, and therefore discuss in a different way.
Hi, I think this is going to be interesting!
Lily
We are in the quiest group. lol
Thank you for the welcome!
One thing I forgot to tell you in the tutorial--- Currently, Mindomo does not allow two people to edit the map simultaneously. So, if you get a message saying someone is editing it, you can still stay and view others' posts. But any of your edits will not be saved. So, if you want to add a new post, you will probably need to come back at a different time to finish it.
I know this sounds a little bit discouraging. But sometimes, you simply need to have some patient with new technologies!
Fei
Thanks for the the heads up!
Melanie
This is promising!
