Several influential figures have significantly impacted civil rights and social justice. Bob Marley, despite surviving an assassination attempt, continued to advocate for peace, love, and unity, even facilitating a handshake between feuding political candidates in Jamaica.

Rosa Parks

Lead to the Montgomery bus boycott in which many citizens refused to use public transport for 381 days.
Lead to the abolishment of segregated public transport.
Refused to give up her bus seat to a white woman and was arrested and charged for it.

Malcom X

He was assassinated on the 21st of February 1965
He endorsed the Black Panther party and his ideas of black nationalism helped them rally people together.
Used violent protests to get his point across but started to become more peaceful.

Bob Marley

Made the two feuding Presidential candidates shake hands to show unity.
He stood for peace, love and unity and fought to make a better Jamaica.
He survived an assassination attempt and performed just days later.

MLK

He was assassinated on the 4th of April 1968 in Memphis Tennessee.
Peaceful protests to show they were better than their oppressors.

Didn't fear the IRA and refused to endorse them and eventually began negotiations with leader of Sinn Fein.
Fought for a united Ireland that was run by Protestants and Catholics through peaceful protests.
