Response of the Canadian Government

Canada came out from under the Great Depression.
Japanese interment camps where Japanese Canadians were wrongfully imprisoned and seperated from family.
More women entered the work force in response to soldiers being at war.

Causes of War

Treaty of Versailes
This gave Hitler power to gain citizen envolvment.
Failure of Leauge of Nations
The Leauge of Nations had little police athourity, all they could do was limit trading.
Appeasment
Many European and North American countries attempted to make ammends and give Hitler what he wanted to avoid war.
Hitler's Reign
Hitler gained power during WWII with his Nazi party, he promised to uplift Germany from the depression.

Trigger Cause

The trigger cause of WWII was when Germany's military invaded Poland, this made France and Britain declare war against Germany; they could no longer sit back and hope for peace.

Response From the Homefront

After bombing in Japan, Japanese Canadians were forced into interment camps by the Canadian government, they were forced into physical labour and poor hosuing.
Women were more active in the working class, taking place of men at war; job opprotunities were plentiful.
