Great Lakes-St.Lawrence Lowlands

This area is mostly the south of Quebec and Ontario. It holds half of the population in just 2 provinces. This is where the famous tourist attraction is located, Niagra Falls. It is a lanscape of flat lands.

Appalachians

This is located in the Maritime Provinces and some of southern Quebec. This is an area with many rolling hills and mountains. There is a large abundance of squirrels, rabbits and deer in the appalachian forests. This is also an area where trees were cut severly.

Arctic - Hudson Bay Lowlands

This is a barren, isolated place. This is located in Canada's far north. This is why people believe even Toronto in Canada is a freezing place. It stays dark all night in winter and sunny all day in the summer. Farming and agriculture are practically impossible as there's no vegetation and barely any green in the area.

Innuitian Mountains

This is a mountain range, as said in the name. The word Innuitian comes from the northern indigenous people in the area. It has not been explored very much.

Canadian Shield

The Canadian shield covers more then half of Canada. There are many small lakes and some of the oldest rocks in this area, which tourists come to explore. Many mammals live here, like the moose, caribou, wolverines, and weasels.

Interior Plains

The Interior Plains of Ontario are a vast region of farmlands. The region is dotted with small towns, farms, which offer stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The region is also home to some of Ontario's coniferous trees called the boreal forest, which go from the Rocky Mountains all the way across.

The area is a mix of sharp-peaked mountains separated by plateaus and valleys. It is home to abundant of herbs, lichens and shrubs. It's also a popular destination for hikers and mountain climbers, who come to explore the popular tourist area.
