Media Arts
- Utilise the internet to source digital image of each planet - identifying each planets size, colour, texture, and order in the Solar System.

- Using iPads download app 'drawing pad' a platform used to digital art, students will be able to digitally create a representation of the Solar system or one particular planet in detail.

- Create a short film/motion picture displaying the movement of the Solar System.

Drama
Tableau- Formation of the Solar System

- In small groups students will be given a scenario (E.g. astronauts landing on Saturn for the first time and something goes horribly wrong) students will then be given 15 minutes to create a small play displaying the scenario - students can then watch each groups plays for reflection purposes. --TfEL Domain 1.3

- Use of puppets/ finger puppets to create short play

- Warm up Game 'Crossing the line' - for teacher to understand students prior knowledge of the subject. Students are asked to stand in a line marked out with tape. Crossing over the line indicates 'yes' and moving away from the line indicating 'no', when asked a series of questions in relation to the Solar System. - TfEL Domain 4.1

Dance
- Explore and understand the movement of the Solar System through the use of body movement relating to each planet.

- Each student may pick a picture of a particular planet and partake in an educational dance, replicating the movements annually made in the Solar System.

-Use of solar system book to create movement in illustrations.

Visual Arts
- What colour is each planet?

- Students are to recognise visual art elements of each planet in the solar system, including, Colours (secondary and primary), shape, texture, and lines.

- Different materials and techniques will be used to capture these elements of the Solar System. For example, Water colour and paint pens to focus on line and colour, Sand and charcoal to focus on texture, and marker pens and stencilling to focus on shape.

- Construction of a model of the Solar System; e.g. use of styrofoam balls, plasticine sculptures, paper mache, and water colour paint. - TfEL Domain 3.3

Music
- Listen to informative songs relating to the Solar System

-What sounds are heard in the Solar System?

-Freestyle rap on the Solar System/Particular planets

- Listen to the movement of the Solar System translated to music

- Identify one instrument with a particular planet int the solar system and play when each planet it mentioned in the 'Solar System' Song - relating to their annual movement.

- Create melodies through body percussion
