History
The Name of Nami Island originated from General Nami, who died at the age of 28 after getting death penalty because of being falsely accused of treason during the reign of King Sejo, the seventh king of the Juseon Dynasty of Korea. Jendral Nami was not treason, so King Sejo felt guilty and he gave an island to Jendral Nami’s family to express his apologized.
