OUR EXCRETORY SYSTEM

The human excretory system is responsible for removing waste materials from the body through various processes. Solid waste is managed through the digestive tract, where undigested food and waste pass through the small intestine and then the large intestine, forming faeces which are eventually expelled through the rectum and anus.

OUR EXCRETORY SYSTEM

The excretory system is made up of all the organs that remove waste substances from the body.

EXHALING AND SWEATlNG

Our body also removes waste by sweating and exhaling
EXHALING: Waste water + carbon dioxide: It's expelled when we exhale.
SWEAT: Waste water + salts: It's expelled through pores in our skin.

HOW OUR BODIES REMOVE LIQUID WASTE

3. Finally, it's expelled through the URETHRA.
2. The URINE travels to the bladder where it's stored.
1. The KIDNEYS filter our blood, removing extra water and waste, forming a liquid called URINE.

HOW OUR BODIES REMOVE SOLID WASTE

1. Undigested food and food waste pass through the SMALL INTESTINE: At this stage, they contain a lot of water
3. Finally, the FAECES are expelled through the ANUS.
2. In thee LARGE INTESTINE, solid waste that remains solid lumps called FAECES pass into the RECTUM.
