Q2

To secure funding for a film noir project, the initial step is to find a distributor. Identifying suitable distributors involves researching companies like 20th Century Fox and Warner Bros.

Q2

The narrative of film noir contain crimes and have some sex scenes in it, which is why the age of the audience is most mature. Because the plots of film noir are complex and creative, the audiences often need to work out the links of the plot - they are not children, but need to be adults.

First of all I need to have a distributor to invest in my film. At first, I need to make sure I can find suitable distributors, by finding some typical film noir to watch and submitting my movie to these companies which have a similar genres with mine. I have seen that the main film noir distributors are. 20th Century Fox and Warner Bros. Either of these two would be great. Of course it is not easy to attract their support and funding but this is how I am to do it. I will try to get my film shown at the Aesthetica Short Film Festival or the London film festival. Before the showing, I will try to create some media interest in the film – by tweeting about the film on Google site where many people interested in film noir are active. I will also create a Facebook account and Youtube account, we could show the trailer or some clips on youtube.

Then, aiming a market that I am gonna to contribute and getting a high profit from it. What's more, before I contributes, I should advertising my film-Create an account on social media and upload the filming process or some drafts of the film, so that people can know our film, attracting people's attention.

Hopefully, I will then attract one or several companies to finance the film. That is the biggest hurdle (problem) I need to get over if I am going to show my film to anyone.

At the festival I will try to create a buzz around the film by distributing the drinks which have images of my film on the drinks. We could also have real posters and radio chat-show, interviews on social media so that the festival audience are already looking forward to seeing the product.
