In English grammar, various verb tenses are used to describe actions occurring at different times. The simple past tense indicates actions that happened and were completed in the past.

Past simple irregular form

Past simple regular form
The simple past is used to describe an action that occurred and was completed in the past. The simple past is formed by adding –ed to the base form of the verb (the infinitive without to). base form + ed = simple past walk walked push pushed greet greeted watch watched

The "past perfect" refers to a time prior to the recent past. It is used to indicate that an event occurred before another in the past. No matter which of the events mentioned first, because the tense makes clear temporal order in which they occurred. example:

the present perfect simple is have/has + past participle.the past participle often end is in-ed. Example:i we they you have.

The present progressive, also called the present continuous, it is formed with the verb BE and a present participle: BE + (verb + ing). This grammatical aspect corresponds to the verb BE: example:I am studying English.

use some in positive sentences. Example: I'm going to buy some clothes. QUESTION: can i have some soop,please?
