Matter can be classified into pure substances or mixtures, with mixtures further categorized into mechanical, heterogeneous, and homogeneous types. A pure substance consists of only one kind of matter, exemplified by sugar, where all particles are identical.

Solutions can also be called homogeneous mixtures because they look the same throughout everything

We can also call pure substances homogeneous because it forms around pure substances. Homogeneous means that something is the same;alike

Solutions are the same but made up of two or more substances.

Mechanical mixtures are also called heterogeneous meaning that they are made up of many different substances.

There are other types of mixtures like mechanical mixture, heterogeneous mixture and homogeneous and each are different.

A mixture is made up of two or more substances.

A Pure substance is produced by one matter only. An example is sugar because all the tiny bits of sugar are the same.

Matter can be grouped in pure substances or mixtures.

Gas is a matter that does not have a fixed shape or volume and has particles all over the place.

A liquid is a matter that does not have a definite shape or volume and all the particles inside move around.

A Solid is something that has a definite shape and volume meaning that a solid has molecules that are joined together and fill it up and don't fly around

There are three types of matter solid, liquid and gas.

Matter can be anything that has mass and take up space.
