Timeline Chemistry
Arrhenius: Acoording to Chemistry LibreText the Arrhenius definition can be summarized as "Arrhenius acids form hydrogen ions in aqueous solution with Arrhenius bases forming hydroxide ions."
Lewis:
According with Chemistry Libre text Lewis acids accept an electron pair. Lewis Acids are Electrophilic meaning that they are electron attracting and Lewis Bases donate an electron pair. Lewis Bases are Nucleophilic meaning that they “attack” a positive charge with their lone pair.

Bronsted-Lowry: The Bronsted-Lowry theory proposes: an acid is any substance that can donate a proton and a base is any substance that can accept
Calculate pH
pH= -log (H)
To get H it can be 10 elevated at -x, or in this case the inverse of the first formula log ( of X).
Importance of pH on living bienes and enviroment
pH is important in living beigns because of the enzymes of chemical reaccionó on life require a specific pH in order to function. Also, if the pH is increased or decreased significantly, biochemicals like proteins can be denatured and become non-functional, resulting in cell death.
It also one of the most important environmental factors limiting the distribution of species in aquatic habitats. Different species flourish within different ranges of pH, with the optimals for organisms
pH Scale
The pH scale measures the degree of acidity of an object. Objects that are not very acidic are called bases. The scale has values ranging from zero (the most acidic) to 14 (the most basic).
Acids and Bases
Strong
A strong base is something like sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide which is fully ionic. You can think of the compound as being 100% split up into metal ions and hydroxide ions in solution.
Week
Ammonia is a typical weak base. Ammonia itself obviously doesn't contain hydroxide ions, but it reacts with water to produce ammonium ions and hydroxide iones.
