Mass Practice

critical thinking. when we habe to draw from our memory, we are able to learn better

Interleaving. having variety and pulling information from different books

Different techniques and knowing the basis of things

Reflection. reflecting and evaluating about what people said helps you learn

Re reading. re reading helps you to remember things better

Testing. testing can cause anxiety but is the best way to learn

Repetition. learning through repetition will help commit it to long term memory

It become apart of your parapersonal space. Without it, it feels different an weird. For example, when you get a new phone, you have to readjust because you're not used to it.

Age doesn't necessarily mean you are smarter or less smarter.

Schooling has become more focused on grades instead of learning

Going into Kindergarten. Just finished her test. Bus driver said "your vocabulary is huge" She didn't talk about the test at all, but talked about the person who talked about the test.

Help her learn to read, ABC's, count, shapes, colors, alphabetic principle, concepts of print, phonics, phonemic awareness, spiritual concepts such as: eternal families, child of God, temples, Joseph Smith, who God is, etc., learn to ride her bike, dance, gymnastics, sing, learn to better tie her shoes

Occipetal lobe: internalizing visual information. Analyzing and interpreting visual

Frontal: voluntary movements, memory, emotions and social judgements

Limbic system: emotional brain. Headquarters for your emotions. Inside your brain.

Hippocampus: responsible for converting short term memory into long term memory.
Amygdala: Responsible for anger, jealous, sadness, joy. Stores and can recall emotions from the past.
