Situation

In the Career Pathways Program I did a group project on social media.

Task

To complete a social media project I had to pick a topic and present it to the class. My topic that the group picked was Instagram.

Action

Collaborated with team members to finish and present the social media project on Instagram.

Result

My team and I did well on the presentation and we got a great grade.

Situation

I have to present a topic in my communications class.

Task

The topic was apple crisp and I was nervous.

Action

I practiced by myself and then with family members.

Result

The class has learned a lot about apple crisp and I have gotten and good grade on the presentation.

Situation

My high school had a holiday fair for every body to come from 9-2pm.

Task

I was working at a booth with stained glass and a women came up to me saying that she was here earlier and she had saved a glass bell. However the glass bell was not there.

Action

I gave her a new identical glass bell and apologized for the miss communication

Result

She was understanding and relieved that she didn't have to pay for the new glass bell. I was also proud of my self because that was the first day that I solved a problem in the community.

Situation

I have worked very hard and have done well in high school.

Task

I worked very hard in high school to have a strong work ethic. I have always completed my quizzes and tests on time. I have also completed and handed in my assignments immediately.

Action

I worked very hard in high school, I always handed in my assignments in on time, I was always punctual and completed tasks indepently.

Result

In the 5 years at Robert Bateman High school I have gotten 3 honors award and 1 Ontario Scholar award because of my strong work ethic.

Situation

At Burloak Long Term Care I have assisted with preparation and running special events.

Task

I set up for special events, including barbecues. I have also led certain activities including blowing bubbles and one on one visit.

Action

I assisted with preparation and running special events.

Result

When I set up the barbeques there were no mistakes and the residents enjoyed the barbeques. The residents also enjoyed one on one visits and blowing bubbles.

Situation

I volunteered and worked at the Village at Tansley woods.

Task

I assisted with daily recreation, talk to the residents and took the residents out for a walk.

Action

I communicated in a warm and empathic manner with the residents, when I was at the Village of Tansley Woods.

Result

The residents are happy when I talked to them and when we went for a walk.

Situation

I attended all the additional training/ workshops and trends in technology classes.

Task

I learned how to use Microsoft, Natural reader, Grammarly, Kurzweil and Paper rater.

Action

I participated in all Additional Training/ Workshops for assistive technology. I have also learned a lot in the Trends and Technology class, including Microsoft word , google slides and power point.

Result

I have learned a lot in the Additional Training/ Workshops and Trends and Technology. I also have gotten a good grade in Trends and Technology there were no grades in the Additional Training/ Workshop classes.

Situation

In the Career Pathways program I use many tools to organize my assignments, tests and quizzes.

Task

Organize my assingments, tests and quizzes, using a calander.

Action

I have organized all of my assignments, tests and quizzes using a calendar. I know all of the dates of when the assignments are due and when quizzes and tests are.

Result

I keep track on all assignments are due and when all the dates for the quizzes and tests. I always handed in the assignments on time, I have done well on the quizzes and tests and I have gotten good grades.

Situation

I saw a wallet on the side walk when I was walking home with friends.

Task

I found and picked up the wallet.

Action

I looked inside the wallet to see the ID and I found that the man lived close to me, so I walked to his house and knocked on the door.

Result

The man open the door and I returned the wallet to him, and he was relieved and very great full that the wallet was safe.

Situation

I had get used to teams and having school online due to the pandemic.

Task

In July I thought that the school will be a hybrid of online and in class. The school has become completely online.

Action

I transitioned from thinking about having a hybrid class to having to use teams and have school online instead.

Result

I am doing very well in school and I hope that I make it on the dean’s honors list this year.
