Living in Space 🪐

-Astronauts sleep in space by sleeping in a crew cabin

-Their crew cabin is a small room about the size of a shower stall

Astronauts lie in a sleeping bag which is strapped to the wall

-Astronauts have reported having nightmares and dreams, and snoring while sleeping in space.

-Astronauts eat Dehydrated meals, Heat-treated, tortillas, snacks, and rehydratable drinks.

-Astronauts eat this in space because food must be lightweight, long-lasting, easy to prepare, and safe in space (no crumbs or spills).

- Did you know Astronauts can’t salt their food normally because the salt would float away, so they use liquid salt instead!

-In space they have exercise equipment like a stationary bike, treadmill and weight lifting machine

- It is very similar to earth

-You Cannot Rinse Your Mouth

-You have to swallow your toothpaste

- There are different machines for washroom needs

- The washroom has a vacuum so your waste won't float

- The washroom has multiple types of toilet paper

- The washroom is very small

- You can't shower in space because of zero gravity

-They use liquid soap and water from pouches for their skin.

- For their hair, they use rinseless soap and water to clean their hair.

-They use towels to wipe off the excess water from their body

-Astronauts breathe oxygen in space from big tanks on their spaceship or space station.

-Astronauts also have emergency cans that release oxygen incase of an emergency.

- In space astronauts also have a machine takes away the bad air (carbon dioxide) so they don’t breathe it in again making air fresh to breathe
