Mesopotamia was the first civilizations to invent a sail boat. They used sailboats for transportation so they could trade without having to walk miles and miles.

The first form of writing was from the Sumerians. They traded their writing skills, (gave them lessons on how to write), for a living.

Mesopotamian's invented the wheel in approximately 3500 BC. They then used chariots, using the wheel, to go to other cities and trade.
