The confrontation began on April 9th and lasted for four days, witnessing intense and violent attacks, especially as German troops vacated their trenches.

At the end of the 4 day battle that took place on vimy ridge,Canada had lost over 10,602 causalties but over 3000 troops dead.

Due to this high amount of casualties and deaths this battle was then labeled as the most intense and costly battle that any Canadian army has ever won.

The Battle at Vimy Ridge started on April 9th 1917.Many Germans had left their trenches but between April and May,many violent attacks had happened overtime.
