Common Advertising Techniques and there AIDA Methods

Desire

Complementing the Costumers
When the viewer is complimented by the ad they feel like they deserve the product, they will be more inclined to buy your product because you were "nice" to them.
Facts and Statistics
Ads often include what their product does with statistics, or data, sometimes they compare it to another ad as well. The point is that they are trying to show how their product is a good choice, or the best out of a group so you buy the item.
Bribe
Ads try to make the viewer buy their product by sweetening the deal, they throw in free items, 20% off, etc with the product.

Action

Phone numbers/Links
Commercials often use the term call now and show their phone number, another variant off this is for websites that show their link, or apps that show where to download.
A call to action
Telling the viewer to get out and go do something, or encouraging them to do their part makes them motivated to go/ do what you want them to. ( the picture is a match ad that says "What are you waiting for? get match today" it shows some links as well.)
quantity of product statement
When ads say how much of the product is left in stock it makes people get up and go buy the product. For example "we only have 5 left in stock at our (store location) location, come get one now".

Attention

Emotion
Using an emotional story or picture that tugs at the viewers heartstrings will make them pay attention to your ad.
Nice Imagery
Using fun titles, bold words, and bright colors grabs the viewers attention if you use it right.
Endorsements
Having a popular celebrity endorse your product makes it more popular among people who care about the celebrity's opinion. It grabs peoples attention because they want to look up and see what the celebrity has to say.

Interest

A controversial statement
Makes the viewer get up in arms about your ad making them want to spread their opinion on your ad, which gives you publicity.
Questioning the Costumers
Makes the viewer think harder about the message of the ad and their opinion or the answer of the question, making them more interested/involve. (the ad is the "how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop" ad)
Quiz, poll, study, or opinion
I think this fits the interest category because it makes the viewer want to give their opinion or make a difference so they'll be more inclined to go to your website.
