The hard drive is where data is stored.

The CPU use the data and executes the program.

The Mother Board has a series of circuits that allow for the information from the USB cable to be transferred to CPU.

Ports allow for the USB cable on the mouse to be connected to the mother board.

The mouses job is to send information to the CPU which then allows for programs to be executed.
