Causes
Medications, especially ones containing lithium
Cancer
Kidney Infection
Kidney Cysts
Genetic errors in kidney function
Normal synthesis of ADH but a defective renal tubular response to ADH.

Lab Findings

Urine chemistry will be low for electrolytes
Lower glucose when compared to Diabetes Mellitus
Low specific gravity
