El lenguaje de signos gestuales es un sistema de comunicación visual que se divide en dos categorías principales: los iconos y los signos motivados. Los iconos son aquellos signos que poseen características directamente relacionadas con su significado, mientras que los signos motivados son aquellos que tienen una semejanza con lo que representan.
