Grade 1 Student

A young student who recently moved to Canada from Egypt has been working hard to improve his English language skills. Having spent about two and a half years in Canada, he is currently enrolled in a specialized class focused on expressive language and phonological awareness, with no additional ESL tutorial support.

School Support

Next year, he will be back in the regular classroom hopefully receiving tutorial support as well as SERT resource support (as per his IEP)
Small class size, focused on Early Language acquisition
Visual supports are necessary for his learning- All words/concepts are also presented in a picture form
Currently in a self-contained Expressive Language and Phonological Awareness Class- (NO ESL tutorial or integrated support)

English as a Second Language

Speaks Egyptian Arabic at home
