The Indus Valley Civilization, existing from 2600 B.C. to 1700 B.C., was one of the earliest advanced societies in India. It spanned regions from Baluchistan in Pakistan to areas around New Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.

Economy

The peoples income was based mostly on farming and trade. They had advanced irigation systems mostly growing wheat.

Geography

The northern most site is in baluchistan,pakistan.The eastern most New Dehli and Uttar Predesh state.

Arts/Technology

They also built sculptures out of bronze like the "dancing girl".
The indus valley people used their hands and weels to make vases and bowls out of clay. or trading they made bangles wich are bracelets or anklets.

Rise and Fall

The indus valley people migrated when floods wiped the towns out many times making them volnerable to asian raiders.
Indus valley civilization was one of the fist civilized groups in India. They were the first civilization in the indus valley to learn/create writing.

Government

The government consisted of rulers who had full power over everything, autocratic.It was a monarchy.

2600 B.C.-1700 B.C.

Religion

The indu's worshipped mother goddes wich is hinduism. Swastikas were found meaning hinduism jainism and budism may have bean practicest.

Contributes to Society

The indus valley was very good at building multiple storie brick houses and roadside drainage systems bring theses skils with them to the east was very helpful to the society.
