Professional Portfolio

Developing a professional portfolio involves several key steps, including gathering references, creating a creative CV, and designing a compelling slideshow. The process starts with collecting references from past work experiences to enhance credibility.

Content

I am going to present myself more as a print journalist because this is where I have the main body of my work. However, I will make a point of showing I have skills in other areas if they are needed, eg. video.
I have a lot of PDF's of my print work both at Uni and published. I need to decide on my best work to showcase myself. I might need to re-edit some of my work before putting it on.

Site Outline

I am happy with how my sitemap & wireframe look. there might be issues I need to sort out further down the road e.g. do I have enough Video and Radio for them to have a section each?

Supplementary Info

References
I will scan in my NME reference from workexperience. I will find my old reference from City Dweller I will ask for a new one off Movement Mag.
CV
I want to make my CV more creative and interesting. I will look into this, decide on a format for it, learn the skills I need for this, then produce it.

Design Task

I need to decide on my colour scheme and if I want a header. If I do I need to design this and learn ho to do it.
I will need to work out what work I want on my slide show. I also need to work out how to do a slideshow on Weebly.

Software Platform

Portfolio Blog
I decided to do my blog on here as I can easily use this medium. I have blogs on here before and love its ease of use.
Weebly
I will need to start designing my site and using Weebly more to find and iron out issues I have.
I liked that you can design your layout but there is already some form of structure. I don't need to learn too much HTML to make it mine. It also seems that it supports things I want to put onto my portfolio such as slide shows, video, audio etc.
