Puzzling

I found puzzling that the 6 Exercises to Get to Know Your Students Better soon many extremely personal questions. I know that as a student I wouldn't want to answer these questions.
I would ask about if they are comfortable talking about some struggles they may have been through

This is also so that students may see how important art can be for personal healing and development

This is so that I may see if I can do class critiques, or share some art summaries with the class.

I would ask about their political stances

This is so that I may see what content needs to be addressed more

Why is it Important
It is important to grow students social emotional learning, so that they may feel more secure in themselves, and their abilities
It is important to know your students because it helps set up a good environment for your students to grow in

Challenging

I understand fully how to assess mathematics, and provide different options for assessment, but I am wondering how to be as open with visual arts. Maybe providing different options, such as doing something with physical art materials or doing it online? Maybe providing them with different options on describing their art works, or art critiques.

Visual Arts

I would have art work be assessed on more than design elements and composition, but on how it relates to their political theme, personal story or cultural inspiration
I would also assess on the resources they found

Math

I would have students work on open complex questions that have multiple different ways of being solved, so that way students are able to work in groups and use their different skills to solve the question

Why is it important

It is important for assessment to be fair, transparent, and equitable because it should be good for all students, help students improve, and have different evidence of student learning options
