CASNR Recruitment

Anecdotal Lead

Starting her college career at Texas A&M she knew something was not right, she was missing the family atmosphere that made her feel at home. After visiting Texas Tech and stepping on campus for the first time, Maddy knew this was where she was meant to be and the people of CASNR only helped ensure her decision.

What being apart of CASNR is like

"The professors care about each individual so much that they really go out of their way to help them in their own specific needs.
"CASNR doesn’t expect you to fit a mold, they don’t expect you to look or act a certain way, they want each individual to come and achieve their personal goals through their own methods."

CASNR's recruitment process

"Most of the time when you make a decision on a college, the other colleges aren’t going to be interested in you. The people of CASNR never cased to pursue me as a student and I thought that was very special."
"I know Dr. Miller, as soon as I stepped onto that campus, he just took me under his wing and made me feel like I belonged and that I was already a student there.

"While I was at A&M, I actually had students at Tech reaching out to me calling me, just to get me to come visit. They truly just wanted me to come visit and see Texas Tech, and to me that was truly crazy."
"Texas Techs growing numbers, in my opinion, is only proof that more kids want to be a part of such a successful program."
"I really believe quality over quantity is what Texas Tech is doing, and CASNR recruits that."
"It's not because they just want numbers or because they want money, it is because they want quality kids.

TTU Judging Teams

"CASNR offers many opportunities to be a part of something bigger than yourself and it’s just not judging teams. They have so many organizations and different internships and study abroad opportunities, and that is something that really drew me in and got me excited for my time at tech."
"Known for high standards of morals, their good values, the awesome people that the produce through those programs, that’s what I wanted to be a part of. "

People in CASNR

"They are the kind of people I aspire to be like, they foster such a positive environment that allows for each individual to grow on their own level and become a star in their own way."
A village
"The saying that it takes a village to raise a kid was really true for me. There were multiple people in my life that influenced me and helped raise me. When I got to Tech and walked around the agriculture department that is exactly how I felt, that village."
"There was not a single person that didn’t go out of their way to say hi to me weather they knew me or not and I thought that was very special. That’s not always something you can find at these bigger universities."
"It was a fostering environment that the professors, the students, and all the faculty were all working together to help these students meet their goals."
Family Atmosphere
"They really made it feel like it was their privilege to have me and that was such a cool feeling."
