Forestry is very important to Canada's economy because it plays a critical role in sustainable forest management.

Forestry is a valuable resource. We use it for providing food,shelter,wildlife habitats,fuel and sail supplies like medicine and paper. It has been around since the late 1800s

Raw forests products are transported by taking wood from the forest and then processing mIlls by trucks using Forest Access roads and provinval highways. Some issues with the tranpsort are the cost, sharp turns and potholed road surfaces. These things could lead to wood falling out the trucks which could cause accidents.

Industry Overview

With Lumber we produce woodpulp,paper , bioenergy and wood based panels. Most of the software lumber is used to build houses.

Trees and forests are very important, some of their uses are supplying people in Canada with food and heat for example campfires. They also help by improving water quality, providing a habitat for many species and supporting biodiversity. Foresty is the science of and practice of caring for forests.
