Colonization and exploration had significant impacts on the development of global societies. Plantation colonies were among the early forms of settlement where colonizers established permanent bases, spreading Western culture and Christianity to indigenous populations.

The effects of Advance in Techology

The compass is a very beneficial tool in travel for land, sea and air to aid in directions. The Astrolabe helped advance the study of the universe and the caravel gave way to allowing not only our modern day cruise ships to be able to travel faster and smoother but also aids in the improvement of defense by naval ships.

Plantation colonies

The long term effects of plantation colonies led to the organizing of states and towns. Plantation colonies also could have been what started farming because the people on this land planted crops to make a living so we think farming and agriculture communities came from this concept.
Plantations were early methods of colonization where settlers established permanent or semi-permanent colonial bases. These bases where frequently used to spread western culture and Christianity to the indigenous people.

Trading Outpost

France started the trading outposts and since everyone would meet there they decided that they wanted these trading outposts in their countries too (Europe and America). We think these trading outposts are what started the ones we still have in America and all over the today.

The effects of the Trading Outpost and Plantation Colonies.

In our opinion this was the basis for food markets and grocery stores. It gave us the idea to share and sell our goods with the civilization.

Commercial Revolution

Merchantilsim-colonies provided raw materials and then bought finished product. This provided more opportunities for people and broke down classes.
Capitalism - private ownership where owners risk their own money to start business.  Supply/demand

This allowed for our modern day banking system as well as the creation of stocks which is now our stock market.

The effects of the Explorers

All of the explorers were seeking to find new lands, inventions and products that could use and/or sell.
With the discovery of new lands this allowed for new countries to be founded and colonized.

The importing of spices, silk and other products have allowed us to have flavors to foods that otherwise would have been bland in comparison. The discovery of silk and other products have allowed the luxury of clothes that would have otherwise be rough and uncomfortable

Global trade impacted the interactions between nations in Europe, America, Spain and Africa.

England also wanted the gold that Spain was looking for. When they could not find it they bombarded their ships. This act was lead by Sir Walter Raleigh who was a pirate employed by the Throne of England.
Spain found gold and other countries became envious.

The gold they had found from America was being used to trade back in Spain to other countries.

Africa sold the slaves to England and Spain.

The slaves were promised profit of their work.

Countries began to explore in search of the new world in seek of new merchandise and products.

In today's econmic world we still have trade interactions with all of these countries
In addition to trade routes by water we also use airway routes

The Rise of Capitalism

Capitalism was based on private ownership and investment in resources to make a profit.

The effects of the Rise of Capitalism

It helped layout the foundations to an economic system, transportation system, public and private companies, and an investment system or stock system. The results were due to the fact of what the Capital at the time that founded the basis of these ideas.

Triangular Trade

Was used for the Colombian Exchange and the Middle Passage
Is the trade between the three countries of America, Europe, and Africa.

The Columbian Exchange

The Colombian exchange was the transfer of food, people. crops, plants, diseases, technological ideas, American, Europe, and Africa.

The Middle Passage

The Middle Passage was the exchange of slaves through the Triangular Trade.

The effects of the Middle Passage, the Columbian Exchange, and the Triangular Trade.

The Middle Passage allowed for the import of slaves which supported a workforce. The Colombian exchange allowed for the arrival of horses, new crop and plant varieties and disease. The Triangle Trade allowed for the basis of current day trade networks that provide efficient, timely trade.

Colonization incresed the interactions between the Americas, Europe, and Africa.

Europe
Countries began to send explorers to travel and explore the foreign land.
Europe and Spain both wanted control of the world.

They divided the world. (It was not evenly divided.)

Africa
Along with the need for trade, slaves were also needed when England and Spain began to colonize their new claimed land.

The slaves were needed to work and farm the land. Along with the land they were needed to set up the society by doing the labor that was needed to build the colony.

Americas
The Native American population was conquered by disease, dividing and conquering new technologies like gun powder and guns, and due to the diseases the population plummeted.

It was the basis for the establishment of the United States of America and South America. It allowed for expansion of European countries.
