Responsiblities of a Good Government
The American Democracy is seen as a good government, therefore, it is wise and frugal, and has the characteristics a government should.
This concept is still used today because a good government is smart and wise with its money.
Jefferson says that the governmen should be wise and frugal. A government does not need to be expensive with their decisions. Government includes the protection pursuit of happiness, support of industry, protecting social mobility, religious freedom and equality and a wise and frugal government.
"A wise and frugal government... the sum of a good government...this is neccessary to close the circle of our felicities
Unity
In American Democracy, there have been many instances where the president is a different party than congress, but they nned to work together so that they can do things to benefit the public good
We need to be able to comprimise together and make sure we can work together, so that our country and government can strive. We don't want our country to fall apart and break out into war. We want a peaceful exchange of power from party to party
There should be unity between the political parties because although we are different we all have similar necessities
"Let us then, fellow citizens, unite with one heart and one mind..."
