**Work Cited Page needs to be done as a group**
Written Work Success Criteria
1. All roles should be typed up and grouped together with the other roles in your stance (Essay format with your name above your particular paragraph).
2. Introduction must include the ROADMAP order and end with a thesis statement. You will be expected to include transitional sentences/words between the reasons, so that your introduction is smooth. You can include a hook to open the debate with.
3. All body paragraphs should include R-E-E-L:
Reason Sentence (argument) - 1 sentence
Evidence (2 per reason - 1 based in fact, 1 based on professional integrity) - 2-4 sentences total
Explanation / Analysis - 2-4 sentences total
Link/connect back to Overall Opinion or Segue into next body paragraph - 1 sentence
4. Counter Arguments - you should clearly predict what the opposing side will be arguing for their stance, leading into your counter argument that puts into question those predictions. Come up with as many predictions as you can think of, then you will choose one of your predictions to pursue the R-E-E-L format for arguing against.
5. Conclusions should work towards answering the “So What?” question. Your group has provided all of this information, so why should the readers/listeners feel inclined to agree? How does your point of view affect readers/listeners in society? In their own lives? In the world? This means that those who are writing conclusions need to be actively involved with what their other group members are working on so that your conclusion makes sense with what has already been said.
6. All Evidence should be referenced in MLA format on a Work Cited page at the end of your group’s written work. Refer to the slidedeck provided for examples.
7. Each Paragraph should include a minimum of 6 sentences, and a maximum of 10 sentences.
