Playing a sport Outside

Engaging in physical activities, such as playing sports, significantly impacts various bodily systems. The respiratory system is essential as it facilitates the intake of oxygen and the expulsion of carbon dioxide.

Muscular System

Muscular system contributes to playing a sport because our muscles help us move!
Involuntary Muscles

The smooth muscles that help us move and fill in our bodies.

Skeletal System

Makes up all the bones in our body, our framework.

Strong bones are needed to help an athlete be successful while playing a sport. Without strong bones, the athlete wont be able to play as well and can increase the risk of getting a fracture.

People train their muscles by exercising and lifting weights to make them stronger.

Respiratory System

Breathing
When playing a sport we are using more energy, causing up to use more oxygen and our respiratory system to accelerate. (we breathe more faster and rapidly).
When playing a sport and during our regular lives, we automatically breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide in order to stay alive.

The oxygen enters through the nose or mouth and enters the lungs through a windpipe called the Trachea. Our diaphragm expands to allow oxygen in and pushes out carbon dioxide

Circulatory System

The circulatory system pumps oxygen and blood around the body. This system also carries away CO2 (waste) from cells.
Without a circulatory system our muscles and brain won't gain oxygen, which would lead to suffocation. For playing sports we need our brains to be working properly in order to think strategically and we need our muscles to be strong and fully working.
