Year 7 to 10 learn about drug
education in PDHPE (Health)
Students on a point system working from Bronze to Silver Awards
As the students complete years
7 to 10, they get more points
for their awards to go towards their
decision for years 11 + 12
The ARC are involved from year 7 to educate
the students for future years
The ARC supply information before
starting High School to encourage
the students to active about their future health
Year 9 is a decision maker to
get more involved for year 10 results
Team Leaders are there to give advice,
encouragement and support to year 9
ARC working within the Leadership Program
for Education for Schoolies week year 12
ARC working with Police in all states to help educate
about drugs in the ARC Leadership Program for the schools
with a more hands on approach leading to the schoolies celebration
The ARC run the program, but involve the police coming
out to schools for the program to give information on:
- Graphic photos
(shown within the laws jurisdiction)
- Statistics for criminal charges
- Criminal Record
- Job future Opportunities
- The consequences of actions
- Hospital admission statistics
- Hospital results from drug overdose
- Long term results
- Parents, family concerns / involvement
- Family counselling
The Year 12 Team Leaders are now educated for
leadership counselling to help reduce the drug overdose
rate, to give information and guidance

HSC/VCE completed
Student receives Gold Award
as completion for the leadership program
and credits to final mark.
Student have enough points in the award system leading
up to their final exams to mentor other schools as Team Leaders
Years 11 + 12 the students share stories with life experiences
at a Drug Rehab in connection with the ARC training
Year 11 do more of these meetings as their
workload is not as heavy as year 12
Year 11 are preparing to get
more involved with the Rehab visits
Team Leaders see results from their training from
years 7 +12 to the mentoring to other schools
Team Leaders can also be nurturing
younger students for the decision to
select the program as an elective
These students can be the "middle man"
between the students and teachers and parents
Team Leaders go to other schools
where there is a major drug problem
to give advice, encouragement and support
