Networking

Emily's Network

My mom Jill: My mom often gets me babysitting opportunities by giving families that she knows my contact information.

My mom gave her friend Shelly my contact information for future babysitting opportunities.
That friend then later passed on my contact information to her friend who happened to live five minutes away from me who has two little boys who I now babysit for.

My friend Claire: She goes to a different school than me so she is constantly expanding my network my introducing me to new people.

Claire is the reason that I am so close with another friend, Sarah because we originally met through both being such good friends with Claire.

My dad Geoff: He has a large network of people through his work which can help with future occupation opportunities.

One of my dad's friends', Kenny, daughters, her name is Madi, is one of my best friends now because they introduced me to her during a camping trip and if it weren't for their friendship, we would have never met.
One of my dad's colleagues, Brian, has two little girls who I now babysit for since he asked my dad if I babysat and then my dad gave him my contact information.

My friend Sarah: She helps expand my network by providing me with potential job opportunities

Sarah helped get me an interview at the place where she works because she put in a good word for me and provided me the knowledge that I needed.

My sister Jessica: She is a nanny so she knows a lot of family's which she then can give my number and provide job opportunities for me.

I now babysit for one of the families, her name is Jenny, that my sister used to nanny for because she refers them to me whenever she is unavailable.
