Funciones del Lenguaje Se entiende por las funciones del lenguaje a los distintos cometidos con que el ser humano emplea el lenguaje, es decir, los propósitos comunicativos con los que utiliza esa herramienta cognitiva y abstracta.

Comunicación.

The first division between continents was made by ancient Greek navigators, who named them 'landmass, terra firma'.

Generally classified by convention rather than any strict criteria, nowadays seven regions are regarded as continents from a geopolitical point of view.

La comunicación es un proceso que consiste en la transmisión e intercambio de mensajes entre un emisor y un receptor.

You can find on this continent:

• the world's largest river as per water volume, the Amazon.

• the highest volcanoes of the world -- Mt. Cotopaxi and Mt. Chimborazo.

• the country, Brazil, which is the largest coffee producer in the world.

• the second-highest mountain range in the world, the Andes.

PROCESOS

Australia is the world's smallest continent and is also known as an 'island continent' as it is surrounded by water on all sides.
It includes 14 countries and it is the least populated continent.

Its name comes from the Latin word 'australis' meaning 'southern' because it lies entirely on the south of the equator.

5. La interpretación del mensaje: aquí entra en juego el contexto del receptor, ya que dependiendo de factores biológicos, psicológicos, emocionales o socio culturales, el mensaje puede ser interpretado de múltiples formas que no necesariamente tienen que coincidir con la intención que tenía el emisor al momento de comunicar.

4. La recepción del mensaje: para que el mensaje pueda ser recibido, el receptor debe conocer el código en el cual le fue enviada la información. Por ejemplo, si se le envía una carta a una persona que no sabe leer, el proceso de comunicación no tendrá lugar.

1. La intención de comunicar: se requiere de uno o varios emisores que quieran enviar a un mensaje.

CONTEXTO

son las circunstancias en las que se desarrolla el proceso de comunicación. Tienen influencia directa en la interpretación del mensaje (espacio físico, marco de referencia cultural del emisor y el receptor, contexto social, etc.)

RETROALIMENTACIÓN

en una primera instancia, es la respuesta del receptor hacia el mensaje recibido. Si posteriormente el emisor responde a lo enviado por el receptor, también se considera retroalimentación.

RUIDO

son todas las distorsiones que pueden influir en la recepción del mensaje original, y pueden ser tanto del emisor, como del canal o del receptor.

CANAL

es el medio físico que se utilizará para enviar el mensaje, como carta, teléfono, televisión, internet, el propio aire, etc
