Recurrence Relationship Sequence
Defines a sequence in which the current term is dependent on previous term(s).
Geometry Sequence
Sequences of numbers witn a common ratio; this is, if the ratio of any two consecutive trems in the sequence the ratio is the same.
8,-4,2,1,...
Arithmetic Sequence
Sequences of numbers with a common difference; this is, if you subtract any two consecutive terms in the sequence the difference is the same.
-3,-1,1,3,5,...
Sequence
Is an ordered list of objects, events or numbers which may be referred to as elements of the sequence, members or terms.

Complement of a set
All elements in the universal set but not in set A.
Cardinal Number
The number of unique elements in a set.
Equivalent sets
Set A and set B have the same cardinal number.
Equal Sets
Set A and set B have the same elements.
Empty Set
No elements
Proper Subset
Every element of set A is an element of set B and set B contains at least one element of set A.
Subset
Every element of set A is also an element of set B.
Element

4. Look Back (reflect)
- Is ther an easier way I could have solved the problem?
- do I need to revise?
- does the answer make sense?
3. Carry out the Plan
Persistances is important OR revise the plan.
2. Devise a Plan
change point of view
- act it out
- work backwards
- look for a pattern
- use tools
-draw a model
- solve a simpler problem
- organized list/table
- use a formula
- find a resource
- guess & check
1. Identify the Problem
In other words: Understand the problem.
