The Métis people, historically known for their fur trading, utilized animal hides and furs extensively in their clothing to endure the cold Canadian winters. Their attire often included dresses with aprons and various items crafted from the animals they hunted.

Métis people used mauls to make wedges in cedar bark to build the longhouse.
They usually used buffalo bones to make knives, pipes, arrowheads, shovels and clubs. They mostly used used buffalo horns to make arrows, spoons, powder, horns and ladles

They wear a lot of animal skin, hide, and fur.
They also wear dresses with aprons on them.
