The Greenhouse

Here is an example of what a greenhouse in mars would look like.
Plants also need less water in Mars than Earth because there is less gravity in Mars pulling the water down. That is very convenient for the astronauts.
Water is present on Mars in the form of frozen soil. By using an underground irrigation system, this water can be applied directly to plant roots. “Over 99% of mars water is ice.”, says John. C. If we converted the ice into water through a machine then maybe we would have enough to water the plants.
Water is mandatory for the growth of plants and is needed for hydration.
Silica Aerogel
Researchers at Harvard University discovered that placing silica aerogel on the planet's surface would warm it up and would make it suitable for growing plants.
Green houses are essential for food, recycling, and replenishing the air in space.

Spacesuits

The average annual temperature in mars is -60 degrees celsius, so the space suit would definitely have to be very warm. Without the space suit you would only be able to survive for two minutes before your organs rupture.
On the back of the spacesuit is a backpack. The backpack holds oxygen so astronauts can breathe. It also removes carbon dioxide that astronauts have breathed out. The backpack store and supplies electricity for the suit.
Under the suit, astronauts wear another piece of clothing. It covers their body except for the head, hands and feet and tubes are woven into it. Water flows through the tubes to keep the astronaut cool.
The atmosphere is very harsh on mars, the air is too thin to breath and conditions are very bad. So, the mars suit must be flexible to work in and must keep them safe.
The suits also have special gold-lined visors to protect eyes from bright sunlight.
Space dust may not sound very dangerous but it moves faster than a bullet.

Spacesuits protect astronauts from getting too hot or cold. Spacesuits give astronauts oxygen to breathe while they are working in space. The suits hold water to drink.

Moon Camp connection

When I was thinking about the moon camp and a camp to survive in Mars, only one thing came to mind. Have you ever seen the show spongebob? Well, in the show a squirrel named Sandy lives under water, however, she can't breathe under water so she wears a space suits when she walking around under water. But the part that really popped was that she lived in a dome filled with oxygen. She had a tree growing there which she lived in, and she did make experiments in there as well. There was gravity and protection from any harm in there. It was the perfect shelter. So the moon would be a very similar concept, however, there would need to be some changes made according to the difference in the environments.

I believe that Landing on Mars and surviving there has a similar concept to the moon camp. Obviously certain things would change according to the different environments but the main idea is pretty much the same. There are many challenges both ways and hopefully we can overcome them.

Connection to survival guide

After watching this video from the survival guide, it made me think of the water situation in space. Since there is so much ice in Mars, they should liquefy it and then run it through a purifying machine. That would help a lot with survival and having enough water throughout the mission. This water would be safe for human consumption and plant consumption. The only thing that is now necessary is to create a small purifying machine that can be taken to space in a spaceship.

A secure atmosphere

There should be zero cracks, leaks, or any issues with the shelter.

You must have a good and secure shelter, especially on an oxygen deprived planet. An indoor oxygen filled camp is necessary.

Water

You could also use other methods to reuse waste water.

Mars has a supply of ice that we can use as our water source by melting it down using a liquidifying machine.

Food

You can only bring a certain amount of food with you and who knows how longs it's going to last. Growing plants is essential to have a growing food supply.

Make sure you have extra safety/ emergency supplies, such as some parachutes, extra oxygen tanks, tools to fix things, a communication device, and more.
