LEXICAL RELATIONS

Lexical relations encompass various types of word relationships that are crucial in understanding language and semantics. Antonyms represent words with opposite meanings and are more prominent than synonyms, which share the same meaning.

It can be divided into

Homonym
Homonym is some words which have the same utterance.
Polysemy
It is a word which has a set of different meanings which are related by extension.

Polysemy is the phenomenon of multiple related meanings within a single lexeme.

Antonym
The sense contradictive generally called antonym

Those can be negative or positive

They are opposite in meaning.

Antonym is more prototypical than synonym because it focuses on the salient issue of meaning difference.

Hyponym
It is a word the meaning of which may be said to be included in that of another word.

It also is the relationship which obtains between specific and general lexical items.

Last but not least, it is a term to refer to a set or a group of words that are included in a higher term or word.

Synonym
It is the lexemes with the same meaning.

Two words are synonymous if they have the same sense.

Synonym can be nouns, adjective, adverbs, or verbs.

It has three meaning relations

Contradiction
Is the relation between two propositions such that if either is true, the other is necessarily false.
Paraphrase
Is the relation between two proposition
Entailment
Is the relation between two propositions

It is relating to lexicography or a lexicon.

It is the truth conditional semantics studies by comparing predicate.
