Different natural vegetation regions include deserts, grasslands, tundras, and forests, each characterized by distinct climates and plant life. Deserts, such as hot and dry deserts, often feature cactus plants and can experience temperatures soaring above 38 degrees Celsius.
A few humans settle in Alpine Tundras
than in other environments.
The colour of the bushes in the
Arctic Tundra are Greenish Brown.
In the Alpine Tundras many animals
migrate during cold weather.
Artic Tundra
They are mostly in the Northern
hemisphere of Earth
Forest
Deciduous Forest
Plants- The forest floor in temperate deciduous forest supports mosses, ferns and wildflowers.
Now
Location- Eastern United States and Canada, Western Europe and parts of Russia, China and Japan
Climate-There are four distinct seasons in temperate deciduous forests and precipitation falls throughout the year
Tropical RainForests
Climate- Temperatures in tropical rainforest remain between 68 and 77 degrees.
Plants- Trees in the rainforest grow between 82 to 115 feet tall. Other plants include ferns, vines, mosses, palms and orchids.
Location- The tropical rainforest of species of all biomes on earth
Boreal Forest
Location- This is the northern most forest type and is found between 50 and 60 degrees N latitude
Plants- Because of cold temperatures, decomposition takes a long time, resulting in thin soil.
Climate- Boreal forests are characterized by long winters and short summers
Coniferous Forest
Location- These forests are found are Pacific Northwestern United States and Canada, southwestern South America, Southern Japan, New Zealand and Northwestern Europe.
Plants- Evergreen conifers dominate these forests
Climate- High levels of precipitation 50-200 inches per year cause a moist climate and a long growing season.
Deserts
Cool Coastal Deserts
The average temperature is much cooler because it is located near coasts.
These deserts are located on the same
latitude as the subtropical deserts.
There could be dead shrubs.
Hot and dry Desert
There are plants like cactus.
Most of the big deserts are found away from coast.
The temperature could go above 38 degrees in day time.
Semi and Desert
Semi Arid Desert are located in North America, South America and South Asia.
In the Semi Arid Desert the soil can range from sand to rock fragments.
The temperature could be low as -12 degrees or high as 37 degrees.
