Development in tourism can be categorized into cultural, heritage, and nature tourism. Cultural tourism focuses on exploring the lifestyle, history, art, architecture, and religions of a region, with activities such as visiting monuments, archaeological sites, museums, and historical buildings.

Three ways of development:

NATURE TOURISM
The tourism relationed with natural attractions of a region like: bird watching, photography, stargazing, hiking, trekking,etc. It develops without altering the balance of the environment, promoting the conservation of nature.
HERITAGE TOURISM
Principal purpose is to enjoy visiting historical, cultural, and natural attractions.
CULTURAL TOURISM
The culture of a country or region.

Defined as the trip motivated by knowing, undestanding and enjoying the features and elements that characterize a social group of a specific destination.

The people´s lifestyle, their history, their art, architecture and religions.

Visit monuments, archeological sities, museums and historical buildings.

To know and to enjoy the diferent communities cultural expressions

Customs, traditions, languages, performing arts,festivities, rituals, beliefs, folklore dance and music among others.

A cultural fact, that implies social interaction

Through tourism we have contact with tangible and intangible cultural heritage.
INTANGIBLE CULTURAL HERITAGE:

All non material values that are part of the heritage such as chronicles, the legends, the emblems, the parties, the ceremonies among others.

TANGIBLE CULTURAL HERITAGE:

All the movable and immovable material elements of artistic, monumental or symbolic value that people elaborate throughout their history and can be enjoyed at the present time.
