What is the crime rate like in Vancouver? The overall crime rate in Vancouver has gone down 1.5%, ending a 5 year streak of increasing rates. Break ins to businesses went down almost 185, robberies down 23% and deadly motor vehicle collisions dropped 13%. Vancouver is now becoming safer each year.

What activities and events does this city put on that make living there enjoyable? Some of the main events are; the Celebration of light, Cherry Blossom Festival, Dine out in Vancouver Festival, and the International Jazz Festival. Some main activities in Vancouver are; skiing, snowboarding, shopping, hiking, boating, fishing, and camping.

Yes, the location affects the weather, because of where Vancouver is located there are many mountains and it is also near water so you can experience several different seasons in one day. There are mild temperatures near the water, and huge snowfall in the mountains.

What are some negative impacts Vancouver has on its environment? I could not find any negative impacts that Vancouver has on the environment, but I do know that anything that is impacting the earth negatively they are changing and finding ways to be more eco friendly.

Are there factories nearby houses and public places? Houses are usually located near malls, train stations, malls, restaurants, etc. but there are no houses near factories.

What is one thing that Vancouver does to help the environment? Vancouver is trying to earn the title of "the greenest city" by having zero waste by 2040, and zero carbon and healthy ecosystems by 2020. From 2012 to 2017 they have funded about $2.5 million to over 850 projects in partnership with the Vancouver Foundation.
