How can we predict the movement of a one Dimensional object

Why do to objects dropped at the same time and height hit the ground at the same time

They might have little air resistance and gravity is pulling down on them

We had to pennies one on the desk and the other one on a ruler. We knock both pennies of at the same time to see which one would hit the ground first. The one falling straight down was a little kicker but not by much.

In wrestling when you do a double leg takedown you both hit the mat and the same time or pretty close to the same time

They are both related to speed and when one changes so does the other
